Krakow is one of those cities where you can eat incredibly well without spending a fortune. From modern Polish cuisine and cosy neighbourhood restaurants to wine bars, breakfast spots and traditional Polish food, there are plenty of great places to eat.
I’ve visited Krakow several times, and these are some of my favourite places to eat that I’ve discovered along the way. Many are around the Old Town and Kazimierz, one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Krakow.

Wondering where to eat in Krakow? These are some of my favourite restaurants from my trips to the city, ranging from modern Polish cuisine to more casual places for lunch or dinner.
MAZI serves Mediterranean cuisine inspired by countries across the Mediterranean, including Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the Levant. A great choice if you’re looking for Mediterranean food in Krakow rather than traditional Polish cuisine.
Targowa2 has a small menu, but it’s a lovely casual spot for food, wine and beer. You can come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Best Restaurants in Kazimierz, Krakow
Kazimierz is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Krakow, especially when it comes to food. I love wandering through its streets and discovering small restaurants, cafés and bars along the way. During my trips to Krakow, I had dinner at Judah Food Market, where we tried the Polish pierogi, and at NOAH, an Israeli restaurant that was one of my favourite finds in the neighbourhood. From street food and homemade hummus to Israeli-inspired dishes, these are some of my favourite restaurants in Kazimierz, Krakow.
Judah Food Market is a popular food market in Krakow’s Kazimierz district, with several food trucks to choose from. We had dinner here and loved the Polish pierogi. It’s a fun, casual place to eat in Kazimierz, especially if you want to try different types of street food.
If you love hummus, Hummus Amamamusi is one to add to your list. Alongside classic hummus, you’ll find different flavours and seasonal varieties. This vegetarian and vegan spot in Kazimierz is a good choice for breakfast or brunch, with sandwiches and wraps served with plenty of homemade hummus.
NOAH
We loved our dinner at NOAH, an Israeli restaurant in Krakow’s Kazimierz district. The menu is inspired by Israeli cuisine and uses local and seasonal ingredients. This was one of my favourite restaurant discoveries in Kazimierz.
Where to Eat in Krakow
If it’s your first time in Krakow, two of the best areas to start are the Old Town and Kazimierz.
The Old Town is convenient if you’re sightseeing around the historic centre and want restaurants within walking distance of the main sights. Kazimierz is my personal favourite for a more local atmosphere, with lots of independent restaurants, cafés and bars close together.
I’d definitely spend at least one evening eating and drinking in Kazimierz during a weekend in Krakow.
