Anton Philips started producing light bulbs in 1892. In 1916 Anton Philips moved to Strijp-S and built a glass factory. This was just the beginning. A few years later the grounds included factory buildings like the Philips Physics Laboratory, The Klokgebouw, The Ketelhuis, The Engine Rooms and The Veemgebouw. Who could imagine at that time that Philips is now a leading health technology company? All the former factory buildings at Strijp-S now houses various hot spots. A superb choice of Vietnamese, Turkish, Indonesian, Italian, Spanish and Greek dishes to name a few. If you are that lazy, you can even order with the QR code from the table. Restaurant Kazerne - One of my favourite restaurants. A very cool design hotspot. Set in former military barracks and an industrial warehouse,The Kazerne houses two restaurant; bar/restaurant Kazerne with an Italian touch and bar/restaurant Benz with a Nordic touch. My main go-to shopping areas are the "Kleine Berg" part a district called "The Bergen" and the "Emmasingel". Both have a wide range of boutique shops, bars and restaurants.

Visit Strijp-S - Trendy and urban Strijp-S District in Eindhoven is a neighbourhood and former industrial park that belonged to electronics company Philips. The old Philips factories are transformed into cool bars, restaurants and shops.
