Hotel Ryder reminds me of all the beautiful English boutique hotels I've stayed in, and that’s exactly what it was meant to be. You can imagine, its so eefinthecity like!

Hotel Ryder is located on Fort Isabelle, a renovated barracks site, in a beautiful monumental building. And you can find that charm in every detail. The beautiful entrance hall, the wonderful living room and the 30 boutique hotel rooms. It's truly wonderful to be here and completely unwind. And it's less than a 20-minute bike ride from the centre of Den Bosch.

Hotel Ryder has 30 beautiful rooms with a modern, classic and warm atmosphere. All rooms have beautiful monumental windows and high ceilings.

We slept in the beautiful Tub Ryder, one of the most spacious room types. We lay in a lovely extra-large Apuing bed with crisp white bedding. The en-suite bathroom with freestanding bathtub and walk-in rain shower made it complete.

Did I mention we had stunning panoramic views over the green lawns of the barracks? Details, details everywhere: the 100% nature based, biodegradable cosmetics and Illy organic coffee in the room. Next to the bed a classic vintage British Roberts radio! As if they knew me personally.

The Living & Dining Area Hotel Ryder

The living area of the hotel exudes a blend of classic and modern elegance. The interior is full of charm, with great attention to detail. Warm lighting, soft textures, and carefully selected furniture create a cosy, intimate atmosphere where you instantly feel at home.

There are cosy corners everywhere, perfect for enjoying a drink, having a cup of tea, or reading a book. Hotel Ryder offers an extensive snack and drinks menu, with some wonderful wines, including the delightful Bernardus Chardonnay! In the living area, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning. On the other side, you'll find a charming bar with stools and seating, ideal to sip a cocktail or two.

We really must talk about the breakfast—it’s fantastic! Think delicious fresh pastries, croissants and bagels, yoghurt with fruit, granola, passion fruit, ginger shots, and freshly squeezed juice. And of course, a lovely slice of freshly baked banana bread and Illy coffee.

In the summer, you can relax on the lovely outdoor terrace, enjoy a game of petanque (j'adore), take a walk through the Vughtse Heide or by the Ijzerman, or rent an e-bike and be in the city in no time for an afternoon of shopping, drinks, or dining at a the best restaurants of Den Bosch.

The Social Chamber

Also worth noting: The Social Chamber is available to rent as a meeting room for up to 10 people, or as a private space for something like a lovely lunch. Again, cosy decorated.

The Fort at Fort Isabella

What makes Hotel Ryder even more great is its location directly opposite Fort Vught, a charming market hall with little shops, cafés, lunch spots, bars, and restaurants. You’ll also find farm shop Heuven here. Perfect for picking up some local treats to take home, and don’t forget to grab a brabants worsenbroodje. Such a treat!
