The Rectory Hotel Cotswolds

The Rectory Hotel in the Cotswolds is a romantic boutique countryside hotel in Malmesbury, the Cotswolds. Cosy and very laid back and perfect for slow travelling. When we arrived at The Rectory Hotel the time stood still. We had four days to relax, it was all perfect. Cocktails at the bar and delicious dinner in the restaurant made every evening so delightful. One night we went to the Potting Shed Pub in Crudwell across the road to enjoy an evening with the locals. Read my review about the Rectory Hotel.

Breakfast The Rectory Hotel Cotswolds

Breakfast is served in the beautiful glasshouse conservatory. What else do you need with fresh coffee and pastries, a newspaper, Bloody Marys and mimosa's, and eggs served the way you like it (all included from the menu).

Restaurant and Bar The Rectory Hotel Cotswolds

The restaurant of the Rectory Hotel is superb. Classic food with a contemporary edge, presented and served in the elegant dining room. Prepare yourself for a la carte dinner. At the bar you can get any contemporary and classic cocktail served. There is also an extensive wine list.

Library The Rectory Hotel Cotswolds

We also enjoyed the board games and afternoons with books and wine in the library. We basically snuggled up around the fire place and every other corner of this peaceful rectory.

There is also a beautiful English garden and a swimming pool. I think we were very lucky that we stayed in February as there weren't many guests around. In the summer it might get very busy. Book in advance. And let me know if you also had a fantastic romantic getaway.
