How I selected these boutique hotels?

Krakow has no shortage of places to stay, but not every hotel delivers the same level of design, comfort, and location. For this guide, I focused on boutique hotels that stand out for their character, strong guest experience, and convenient locations across the city’s main neighbourhoods.

I’ve carefully selected hotels and prioritised properties in the Old Town, Kazimierz, and Podgórze that offer a balance of style, atmosphere, and walkability.

Rather than listing every option available, this guide highlights hotels that consistently deliver a memorable stay and are well-suited for different types of travellers, whether you’re visiting Krakow for the first time or returning to explore more of the city.

Boutique Hotels Krakow

An unique design hotel in the neighbourhood Kazimierz in Krakow with its unique, vibrant history. The Warszauer hotel offers 10 rooms and apartments. Each room is different and unique in terms of design and aesthetics. Power is in the detail - from unique furniture to local artworks , all materials, colors and textures define the vision of creators. In each room  you can find most iconic furniture from brands like GUBI, & tradition,  MENU, CASSINA, Marcel Breuer, NORR 11.

Relax on a common terrace overlooking historical Kazimierz or downstairs, at the spacious dining room. Everything is there for a reason – designed to be savored and enjoyed slowly.

Where to stay in Krakow (by area)

Old Town (Stare Miasto) Krakow

Krakow’s Old Town is the best area to stay if it’s your first time visiting, with all the main sights, restaurants, and cafés within walking distance. Boutique hotels like Amber Design Residence and Hotel TEATR are perfect here if you want a central location combined with stylish interiors and easy access to everything.

Kazimierz Krakow

Kazimierz is one of the most popular areas for boutique hotels in Krakow, known for its creative vibe, great food scene, and slightly more local feel. Hotels like Warszauer Hotel and PURO Kraków Kazimierz are great choices here, especially if you’re looking for design-focused stays and a lively atmosphere.

Podgórze Krakow

Podgórze is a quieter, up-and-coming area just across the river, ideal if you prefer a more relaxed and less touristy stay. While there are fewer boutique options, it’s a great choice for a unique experience and easy access to both Kazimierz and the Old Town.
