Things To Do in The Hague

Discover some of The Hague’s most charming neighbourhood streets, each filled with boutique shops, cosy cafés and hidden gems. These are our favourite areas to wander, shop and enjoy good food and drinks. The Hague offers countless places to explore.
-
Frederikstraat - Stroll down this charming street filled with delightful antique and interior design shops, fashion boutiques and cafés. Stop by Barista Café Den Haag for excellent coffee, browse stylish labels such as Samsoe & Samsoe and American Vintage at fashion boutique Own & Club, or visit Liev Fashion. Prefer pre-loved fashion? Make sure to pop into My Lima Lima and Secondhand Rose. You’ll also find the renowned tea shop Betjeman & Barton, offering exceptional teas as well as delicious chocolates, biscuits and more. For lunch, take your pick from one of the inviting Italian delis or head to the well-known Café Teds.
-
Denneweg - The Denneweg is one of the cosiest and most atmospheric streets in The Hague. Enjoy a lovely breakfast or lunch at the popular Café Walter Benedict, with its French bistro vibes. In the evening, we dined at Café Blue, an intimate French restaurant. We enjoyed burrata, coppa & gorgonzola, celeriac escalope and duck with French fries. A small downside: not all dishes and some wines on the menu were available at the time. Don’t forget to add Bouzy Wine & Food to your list.
-
Noordeinde - Noordeinde is the place where style, art and a welcoming atmosphere come together. This elegant street is known for its boutiques, galleries and charming cafés. Settle in at Bookstor Café for a coffee surrounded by books. Another lovely spot is Café Sam Sam, a cosy breakfast and lunch café. Enjoy speciality coffee with homemade cakes, create your own breakfast with fresh “Haagse Eitjes”, or build your own lunch tasting platter using their half-sandwiches, anything goes at Sam Sam.
-
Museum Panorama Mesdag (extension of Noordeinde) - Just beyond Noordeinde, you’ll find Panorama Mesdag. Visit this impressive 360° panoramic painting by Hendrik Willem Mesdag, depicting 19th-century Scheveningen. This unique artwork makes for a surprisingly fascinating museum visit.
-
Café Blossom - A welcoming café where you can enjoy excellent coffee, homemade cakes and light lunch dishes. Perfect for a break during a city stroll or as a starting point for your day in The Hague. Café Blossom also provides breakfast for Hotel Kobalt.
