A stay at ARCK B&B

What happens in ARCK, stays in ARCK.

ARCK B&B in Tielrode, Belgium is a design match made in heaven and a perfect stay for a weekend of slow travel. As soon as you arrive you feel the pure and serene energy of this well thought through designed bed and breakfast by interior architect and lovely host Nele. ARCK B&B (short for 'architectenkamers') is a conveniently located in between Gent, Antwerp and Brussels.

We were lucky enough to stay at room 'UITZICHT'. I mean the name says it all. The view is lovely. The interior of this room is very pure, white and fragile and the Japanese furniture provides a warm vibe to the room. The white granite floor completes it. What we loved about this room is all the attention to detail. The design pieces from HAY.dk and bed linen from Yumeko Amsterdam will make you never want to leave this room again. You will sleep like a goddess. Make sure you enjoy this piece of design surrounded by nature.

Breakfast is served in the morning in the common breakfast room down stairs. The night before, In your room you'll find the breakfast card on which you can indicate time and your choice of breakfast. Think fresh baked pastries, bread, eggs, pancakes and more. Fresh juices, smoothies, coffees and tea complete the list. Perfect for early risers and for people who want to lie in. No food waste and Nele is so friendly to even serve some more fresh fruit and yogurt if you want. Pure bliss.

After breakfast you are very welcome to visit the ARCK shop. Lovers for all things design pieces will arrive in heaven: HAY design, Serax, Studio Arhoj and Weltevree to name a few brands are all there. We felt like little children in a candy store and made sure we took some memories home.

The garden is pure bliss. The apple and pear trees, the hammock and the Dutchtub Original (make sure to let Nele know in advance if you want some spa time) are all making you feel very relaxed and laid back. Nothing else is needed besides a cup of tea and a book. Or maybe even a glass of wine or a local Belgium beer from the honesty bar.

Nele knows what she is doing and locals know best. If you are up for exploring the area (it's hard to resist to leave the bed and breakfast) make sure to check out the ARCK B&B website for tips to do in Tielrode, Sint Niklaas and Temse.

We really enjoyed lunch at Bar Copine in the city center of Lokeren. A concept bar for healthy breakfast, tasty lunch, delicious cake and surprising apetizers in combination with a unique interior shop. barcopine.be

We also enjoyed an art deco walk in Sint-Niklaas of 5,3km. If you like this remarkable 17th century architectural style than Sint-Niklaas gives you a great overview with magnificent buildings.
